One of my nieces asked if I would show her how to make a family recipe, Game Roll. So last night I started to show her how to prepare and assemble it all including a rich game gravy. All was going great until I popped to the cold store for some more filling and her brother came in and added more salt to the gravy. I could have killed him, I really dislike people messing when I cook, so would it bother you, it really bugged me

I dislike people being anywhere near the kitchen when I am cooking, so yes, would bug me too.

Brighton - even Hove!

I wouldn't like people interfering but I don't mind them doing as directed and helping.

I neither want nor need "assistance" when I'm in cooking mode. I tend to cook large quantities of stuff then freeze it. I prepare everything first, then have a pint & a fag before cooking commences.

If ya wanna help, ya can do the washing up

Did the gravy need more salt?

Hell no it spoils the taste of the game, plus we all try to follow a low sodium diet

Not that cold, the meat needs time to adjust after being killed and a cold store is ideal for hanging

Do you do the hunting, killing, butchering yourself?

I get quite a bit of game meat and not always able to prepare it straight away so handy for hanging.

I am doing the same with my daughter and have taught most of my nieces and a few of my nephews. I think it is really important to teach good cooking to children.

I used to before my accident, but a few of my family still do and I get most of their to prepare and usually cook
