I was on probation. I hurt myself at work but it was my fault for walking too quickly. Even though I was walking fast to get a food order out within company standard time.

Unfortunately because I didn't finish my training within 13 weeks thats cause enough for me to lose my job. Of the 15 weeks I was employed there I was signed off sick for 10. So based on my attendance I'm not good enough :-/

If I had passed my probation it would have been different

Could you have done a different role instead of being off sick? I broke my fingers whilst on probation in a job as a secretary and I asked if I could go in and answer the phones or photocopy etc (couldn't type obviously). They agreed and I didnt lose my job.

Sorry to hear your bad news

I'd ring an employment solicitor if I were you, you've suffered an injury at work and unless they have a walking speed limit in place I'd say you'd have a case for unfair dismissal or in the very least an industrial injury claim. Sounds a bit harsh to sack you for being off sick due to an injury suffered at work. Worth a try. Chin up x
