whistleblower names 3 British athletes - as usual the British press play the game and hide the names for 'legal reasons'.

no accused in court ever gets this benefit.

Thoughts on Performance Enhancing Drugs - are they all at it?

This is wrong I know but if its as widespread as they say - scrap the rules and let them take what they like, it'll be a level playing field

Despite claims to the contrary cycling is still riddled with it. And that includes the British. I suspect Nibali will be stripped of his 2014 tour win within months

Worth mentioning Rugby has more positives than any other UK sport by far.

Football and Tennis have huge problems but limited testing.

Athletics have a massive problem particularly in sprinting

With the amount of money in sport I doubt any major sport doesn't have a problem m

Of course its not an example, and I was hardly giving advice out.

If people want to get around the rules then they will, just scrap the rules.

Whatever you do, dont go with this idea but Im fucked off with how much effort some will go to to cheat.

Can't we have an all drug Olympics? Saturday Night Live did this, and the Russian powerlifter managed to pull his own arms off!

Any sport that requires endurance will be riddled with it, especially if the Americans or Italians are involved. In Italy they are even testing the cyclists at Gran Fondo's now, in America there is a massive problem with masters category cyclist getting caught out. The Kenyans are bad for it too in athletics

Don't even get me started on Astana!

Yeah scrap the rules, if people are prepared to risk their lives to win a race let them, in fact allow anything, who wouldn't want to see a man with the legs of a cheetah grafted on and run the 100 metres in 4.6 seconds?

But all sport is rife with it, but authorities try to cover it up with tales of fake injuries rather than saying there banned, at least cycling does come out and say when they've caught someone

football - how come they can do ligament damage+ be back playing 4 weeks later?

not to mention sprinting 60m at the end of a 90 min game.

athletics- man has been sprinting for ever. but suddenly we have this guy taking the world record down to, what 9.58? no-one ever got below 10 seconds, until late 60s.

cycling - rotten to the core. funny how they change the TDF route so much each year. i suspect this is as much about hiding the continued drug use (to avoid the direct time comparisons), as anything else.

tennis - interesting that the peroidic 'injuries' of a well known GOAT seem to normally be around 6 months. if you know what im saying. didnt cilic get banned for drugs as well - then a few months later hes the US Open champion?

i think there are a few interested parties complicit in this. the sport itself, the tv companies who want viewers to take it seriously, the sponsors who could ask a few questions if they wanted.

They can't name them without proof, what if it's a rival who wants to discredit them? Once proven they will be named but not until they are caught out

The Tour de France route changes because the towns it passed through tender for the tour route to use them, it's a massive thing if the tour visits a town. Nothing to do with drugs or time comparisons. How can you compare from one year to the next with factors such as wind speed, heat, rain and then there's days when the riders stay together longer so the race dynamic is different

Why don't they just mandatory test everyone after every main event. Probably come down to cost but random testing clearly isn't working.

They do in cycling at pretty much all major events as well as out of competition testing too

Being more professional has helped, they dont tend to smoke fags and drink booze after football matches anymore. Medical science has come on hugely aswell, these are all factors.

Im not saying they dont take preformance drugs though

I've always assumed that when I watch sports and competitions that the athletes are being the best they can be, without chemical enhancement.

I've never thought of myself as naive but it seems like I was a fool for thinking that.
