Oban is a great base. You must get a boat and see the Islands...!! Head up to Tobermory (aka Balamory...) and keep going....

Stay in the backpackers hostel in Oban, you can get a private room en suite; as good as any 3 star hotel for £14 per night for each of you. I can also recommend a self catering cottage a bit further up the west coast for £50 per night, secluded and special

I love the sense of elation that booking an adventure gives you.

Always great to have a break to look forward to as well.

Budapest and Vienna next for us.

Then not decided for the second one. Toying with either Berlin (again) or basing ourselves in Palma for a few days, hiring a car and touring the lesser developed areas and beaches of Majorca.
