Hi can any one answer my question. Around the start of November every where we go we hear Christmas carols and on Christmas day nothing but carols (which is nice) and then on Boxing day nothing at all not even a murmur of a carol. Always thought there was 12 days before Christmas and 12 days after. So why no carols after Christmas day ?

Because people start the build up so early the minute its over theyve had enough and cant stomach anymore. If only people would wait till 12 days before. Christmas is 1 day not 1 month!!

no matter

When the kids were small we would go round to all my Aunties and Uncles with them singing Carols on Boxing day.

I guess for most its the build up to Xmas rather than the aftermath.

different times now

why do you think its twelve days before and twelve days after xmas . the song is the twelve days of xmas not twenty four.
