Do you ever look at people's profile ages and their pics and think that if they aren't fibbing they've lived a hell of a life?!

I met someone socially recently who is only a couple of years older than me but looks like she could be my mother!

I have been surprised a few times by how youthful some people look and how ravaged others do. As someone said on another site once-there's 40 year olds and there's 40 year olds. I think smoking and drinking alcohol plays a big part in looking your age. You can tell the men who moisturise

Yes...

Some of it is genetic..some of is lifestyle.

And the rest is choice.

The land of grey peas and bacon

Some people just age differently to others...I suppose it's a genetic thing. My parents haven't really aged and they are in their late 70's. I am 34 and been told I look early 20's and I haven't really had an easy life and I smoke.

That blows my theory out of the water

I moisterise and don't smoke so my face hasn't got too many lines on it. Laugh lines when I laugh. But although I exercise my cock lots, it doesn't appear to be getting bigger so that advice was a bit naff.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Well I am 37, and got ID'd for wine the other night... so I maybe don't look my age.

I think I am genetically lucky, as my dad doesn't look his age either.

As has been said tho, there are 40 year olds and there are 40 year olds (any other age is also acceptable lol)

I look at celebrities my age and think they must be having injections of some sort or using the most expensive beauty products. Can't possibly be me looking old

Grantham.

I always get asked in the supermarket if I am old enough to buy alcohol.

In reply I pull out a grey hair and ask them to scan it.

On the other hand I also spent most of my working life in very hot sunny countries, so I think I look a lot older because of the sun I soaked up.

One of our first meets on Fab was with a couple the same ages as us.

By some quirk of nature they are now in their late 40's

yes have met men whom I thought must have been lying about their age, though not recently. I can usualy tell how old someone is, some people look like they maybe heavy drinkers and working outside ages people more.

seen a picture of Erica roe yesterday who is about 56 and thought in some pics she looked old, but still very attractive and natural looking as I don't think looking or being old is always such a bad thing.

I think age and looks are more important to most people on here.

Lifestyle choices do count for a lot. We are 43/44 and most people think we are a decade younger - reasonably fit, eat reasonably well, dont smoke and no kids.

I've just come away from spending the day with my best mate. She had two meets last night as I couldn't make it to her caravan (ok I was playing too). She is (genuinely) 43. One of the guys she met went to same school 1 year apart. She told me this (yes we do discuss each other's meets) AND she wrote this in the veri she left him.....he claims to be 34!!! Oops. If anyone checks the veris and who sent then it kinda makes things clear!

Same here. I had a very party lifestyle in my twenties, unfortunately I still smoke. Now 44 but lots of people say I dont look my age. I think its all in your genes because my mom and sister dont look their ages either

I smoke, don't moisturise and haven't had that easy a life of it but I don't think I look my age. Neither does my mum who has never smoked, hardly ever drinks and makes a conscious effort to look after her skin. I'm hoping it's genetic rather than effort since I am lazy.

Cello is an abbreviation for violoncello(not violincello). Some basses have a fifth string tuned to the B or C below the bottom E.

It's fortune that plays a large part - your genes and lifestyle, some habits learned in families too.

I've seen some really shocking people and ages on tv shows as well as fab etc. I often feel extra old at times, but just look tired not aged. and some do trumim years off, sometimes to meet a target meet's age range.
