just went to close a window on my pc and it asked "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?".

not an isolated incident either...when i log into something it asks "do you want windows to remember this password"...like it knows me soooo well that it can acertain that i will only forget it if it's left to me to remember!

There are few things more satisfying than giving your PC a damn good telling off when its patronising, disrespectful or just plain refuses to do what you want it to.

Give the bastard thing a bloody good talking to, no, not ‘talk’, scream at it. Get violent if you want and give it a damn good kicking too but you might end up breaki…. A fatal error has occurred Windows is shutting down.

that always gets me! the thought that my opening a screen can cost someone their life....or perhaps windows misunderstands the severity of the problem and has over-reacted to the issue?

I personally thought it went from Humour to Sarcastic Humour in 1 easy step.

Just goes to show how people are all different and read things differently too!

PS - The last version had a wee spelling mistake in it!

I know there are new computer users appearing all the time, for them it's all NEW, but sadly Microsoft treats everybody as if they're the bluntest pin in the box!

Think MS were the originators of the 'nanny state' concept!!

I used to too, that is, until he got on his wee bike and I haven't seen him since!

Did I do something wrong? Was it that I shouted at him for covering over the text all the time? Someone please help me get him back, I do miss him!

I take it you are not a fan of Microsoft then?

Just a wee hunch, I am prone to them, it must be from all the bending over in here!

PS - For those that don't get my humour - hunch meaning hunch-back!

Years ago my daughter, who was at home on school holidays was playing on the PC. She phoned me up at work in a panic, “I think the police will be coming round to arrest me!!!”… yep you guessed it, the ‘An illegal operation has occurred’ appeared on the PC screen
