Nothing to see here. Please move along.

Monday I spent several hours in a pre surgery waiting room. To pass the time I Jokingly said to my partner. Hello, my name is Anne and ive not had an operation in 3 years.... in the style of a AA meeting. Another lady joined in and we had a real giggle during a stressful and boring wait.

What have you done to help pass time in waiting rooms, on boring bus journeys and things like that.

Ps AA, NA and other organisations like that save lives and need support

If it's really full..

I sneeze excessively LOUDLY then casually analyze who has the MOST intimidating stare.

The time flies by.

As the waiting time in my local hospital is around 3 - 4 hours I usually have a nap

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I tut loudly from time to time, shuffle in my seat and sporadically whinge at the receptionist.

last day op i had a few weeks ago, my bum had just hit the seat, and i filled in about 3 lines of the form they gave me - and i was whisked off for BP checks, and get undressed and put my stockings on (while still filling in my form)...

from walking in the door to being on the bed having my anaesthetic was 35 minutes!!!

blimey - i sat in emergency with my girlie for over 5 hours and she was in agony - only got seen as i said she needed pain relief as the meds she had taken at home for an ongoing illness and not doing the job fully had worn off - would havebeen quicker to drive to yours

The type of hospital i frequent it helps to pretend you are a marshmallow flavoured helicopter and can fly in and out of surgical theatres whenever you wish.

It sure gets you to the front of the queue more quickly.
