Look on a website called Do it. Most vacancies are listed on there.

walthamstow

I usually give lifts to the old people's party in a church near where i live....

So try a local church near you...

And then when you have that deserved drink after you've dropped the last person home.......you feel good !!!

I do voluntary work for several charities and i've just started a new one being a "friendly" All you have to do is spend a few hours of your time visiting elderly people that don't have any visitors or family. You just check they are OK or if they need or want any jobs doing etc.. Or just sit and chat with them. It's really quite humbling if honest!

"Look on a website called Do it. Most vacancies are listed on there."

That's where I found my lastest "friendly" voluntary work.

I've got a warm fuzzy feeling now, you are all nice people and I hope you gain as much from the experience as the people you help
