Do you buy charity Christmas cards or do you buy any that take your fancy ?

I buy special cards for close family and they arn't charity ones but the rest of the cards are always charity ones, this year they are for the Leprosy Mission, i was visitng a church as a tourist while on holiday and i liked them and bought them

I'm getting to the point where I don't want to do Christmas cards anymore. Last year it took the best part of 2 days to deliver them. I'd much rather phone people up, or send them a nice message on facebook.

I do my own for my grandchildren and do not buy any at all.

Those I would buy for I see and speak to regular so waste of money.

I do the bare minimum I have to, and buy the cheapest that I like (this year that will be 12 cards for £1 from poundland, plus god knows how much in bloody stamps). They all end up in the bin anyhow.

Bah humbug

I save some and use them next Chrostmas at work, the children love cutting them out and sticking them on card to make pictures and any that dont get used i recycle.

I don't give them to people I see regularly, just send them to friends and family we don't see often. I use it as a good time for a catch up by putting a little note in them.

Cards are a waste of money but still we buy them...

I only buy immediate family nicey ones, the rest just get charity ones that I've bought in bulk. I work for the charity so makes sense for me to buy them!

**** buying cards. If you want to donate to charity - just give them the money.

Anyone you'd want to send a card to would probably appreciate a phone call much more ....... and if you don't have their number, why bother?

I don't always buy charity cards and I don't feel guilty. I give money or take part in sponsored events for my favourite charity every year.

I'll but whichever ones catch my eye. I've cut down a lot on sending cards too. I really don't see the point of sending them just for the sake of it.

Thats all very well if you have lots if time on your hands. Telephone calls tend to go on for ages especially with those you don't speak to often.

My Christmas cards this year are for SENSE Scotland charity. Although they do feature a rather lovely Scottie dog pup like mine. These are for family and special friends.

Funky pidgeon. Buy any 4 or more and get them half price and free postage so can get personalised ones with photos on etc for as little as 79p each. I refuse to go near card shops at Xmas time they're chaos!

I only send to close family though and I've told work/school/nursery that I'm sticking a Tenner Into pot for the local hospice that looked after my friend and her family for 5 weeks while her mum was in there and then passed away. I've also crocheted them a blanket to raffle off in their Xmas raffle to fund raise too x
