Christmas Traditions

We always put money wrapped in foil inside our christmas pudding. My grandparents used to always do this for all the grandchildren. They used sixpences and we carried it on. All the kids love finding it.

Do you have traditions or are you creating new ones?

Awww, I love the memories of Christmas past, there is always one relative who turns up d*unk on Christmas Eve night and provides the entertainment!

Would rather avoid the whole period to be honest but I know that's not possible so the only tradition I have is to cook a full English and have it with a Buck's Fizz.

My mum used to put a sixpence in our Christmas pudding. None of mine like it so I don't do it. My tradition was having a drink of Southern Comfort and lemonade while I cooked dinner but then my husband took over the cooking. Now my girls do it and adopted it as their tradition. We let the children open one present Christmas eve

Always had boiled bacon and pork pie for Christmas breakfast. I've still got proper sixpences to put in the Christmas pudding but don't have Christmas pudding now.

When my son was little christmas eve night I used to light candles and he would sit under the tree and we would sing carols. The television never went on.

Christmas eve used to be kids in new pj's and the christmas chocolates would come out and all snuggle up and watch a film, then when they went to bed it was make up all the toys that needed assembling.

This year it will just be a glass of JD on my own then early night as I'm working Christmas day.
