£5 well spent?

With around 10 days left on my membership on fab i find my self thinking "was it worth the fiver?" Err nope!!... Ok i could have spent more time on my profile and maybe could have taken more care in choosing the pics i posted, but all in all its been a waste of time. Other things i could have spent the fiver on?.... 5 items at poundland?,a gallon of petrol,? Pint and half of lager,? Chicken burger from kfc,? The list goes on..... But on the other hand, although i have not arranged to meet anyone i have had some laughs in the forums and chatted to some really nice ladys so maybe it was a fiver well spent....

That's one of the great things about the way this site is run. It's free and gives the choice as to whether additional features work for you as an individual or not.

I personally choose to support the site because I believe Fab gives me good value with or without the additional features.

Paying to be a site supporter means just that - you are supporting the site. You are not guaranteed meets, shags, messages, winks, or even the time of day from people on here.

For example OP: there's a York social held every two months and is promoted quite aggressively ( ). Did you pop your name down? Because paying to support the site won't get you half as much attention as actually getting yourself out there.

If I worked it out at how much pet meet...then bloody good value.

Been here about 3 years now....not all as a site supporter but if I had then 36 months is 18 x 5 quid. That's 90 quid for 200+ verifications....some social! some from folks at my parties that I may not have played with (some guys lol!).... But many, many that I have seen several times with much fewer verifications, quite a few who didn't verify (even if they came back again).....,actual play meets? Probably a few hundred.

BARGAIN......30p a meet....

I frequent a number of guitar forums, and some are very sleek, and offer a great deal more to make them user friendly, they all have sub forums like this one where you can post shite and have a laugh, and they cost nothing...I can see where the OP's coming from

You don't have to pay. You simply get a few extra features. I find them useful. If you do not, revert to free membership. What is the issue?

i paid it because i thought it would be better to see who has looked at my profile, plus the extra pics same as you. i didnt know though at the time you can actually be invisible while looking at profiles, so i dont really know who has looked and who has not!!

A fiver is nothing! plus there is no obligation to pay anyway. Ive been on other sites in the past and this is the best yet, especially the verification system and being able to see the distance from fellow users. More local hung guys on here than other sites I've been on

It does make you wonder if people think that by paying £5 then they will magically increase their chances if getting a meet.....I pay it because it makes the site more useable for me....oh and I do like to add a pic or 2 , not because I think guys will be falling at my feet....

You could have given your £5 to a deserving charity done all the above still and been content in the fact you were doing a little bit to help others.
