I use the block button to get rid of "arsoles" some use it so as not to get pestered etc.

Its there to use how ever you see fit.

Blocking is a fact of fab life - accept it.

Whether your success rate is as good as it could be has too many variables to know. Picking good matches, good messages sent etc. The recipients won't likely tell you. Move on to the next person each time.
