Seeing how everyone seems to be on about how sexy beards are well now's your chance to grow one lads and make people aware of male bowel cancer.

So grow one with pride and for a good cause.

I won't be growing one (but do have a monthly direct debit to cancer charities).

When did beards start to be 'in' again?

You look around now and see all these young men sporting big thick luxurious beards? When exactly did that become fashionable again?

Don't know about fashionable but I do know my OH had his when I first met him 16 years ago

Great cause as I lost my father in his early 30's to bowel cancer. I like beards too. Don't more guys get it than females or is it that men are less likely to visit their GP when they get any symptoms?

It is the second biggest killer of men.

Men are far worse at visiting their GP with symptoms, especially intimate ones like bowel issues. So many cancers get late diagnosis.

If somethings not right guys get it checked! Don't die of embarrassment!

That is a bad statistic, treatable though if caught early enough. I lost a dear male friend to it last year too and he thought it was just the stress of work causing symptoms.
