Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I've changed my status to show I'm not meeting. Yet had a message sent which describes a scenario involving myself.

Quite amusing. We moan about how there are some who don't read profiles. It's clear there are a few who cannot even be bothered to read a 5 word status!

Seems to have made no difference! Lol

To be fair, the majority of text on your profile states you ARE meeting. I don't bother reading statuses as they are usually tripe.

True. However, I felt that as the status is short and appears first that would be best to change.

I don't know. My status at the moment is:

"Sex on a stairlift - a bonus to getting old and incidentally why I'm not allowed to house sit for my gran."

I've already had 2 messages from chaps telling me they would like to fuck me on a stair lift.

Status updates are generally lost in the rest of the surrounding text. The eye is not drawn naturally to that area.

But seriously, you've been here long enough to know that people, at best, only quickly proof read profiles. You would get messages if you wrote that you were riddled with STIs at the moment.

If you really were thinking of other people and not wasting their time, then hide the profile. Otherwise if it want it on show then just simply delete messages as they appear, don't even read them. Its literally one click.

I think people do read them, a lot of them just choose to ignore them. I get loads of messages referencing parts of my profile then asking me to meet the same day to go dogging after a Skype session even though they're 5'5 and can't string a sentence together.

Lol I'm waiting for that one. To be fair messages have almost completely stopped apart from those who only look at pics which are easily ignored.

I just thought it was amusing that I was sent a potential sexual scenario that I wouldn't be physically up to.

Had he read the status he could have saved himself a fair bit of typing.

maybe they have a nurturing fetish and want to nurse you, or they have a medical fetish and bandages and dressings are a turn on and would cream their pants at the sight of a cast
