I totally want to kill whoever invented all the shite around Christmas.

Don't get me wrong, I love the season and also the reason behind it all. What I hate is the fact my 10year old who is autistic cannot cope with all the hype and fuss for the 10 or so weeks before.

Makes me so upset and angry to see his anxiety go sky high and I can't help him. Every year I've managed to get past it but this year it's just wearing me down

Sorry guys I know this isn't really the place for this but I needed to rant. Be thankful it's not all in capitals cos that's truly how I do feel.

i understand - im a support worker and a high proportion of patients have mental health issues, learning difficulties etc - i care for a man who doesnt have the autistic label but we all think he is , amongst other problems, he has it all organised but because of like you say all the 'buzz' about the place he kind of shuts himself away - becomes a frustrating time rather than a joy for him

I cant even pretend what you must be going through and excuse my ignorance. But my thoughts are with you and if it helps to let it out thats what you must rather bottle it up.

You are strong you can do this
