"Hun" "babe"

Does it bother you ladies when a new email arrives with names such as Hun, babe in it?

Bothers me, makes me cringe and imagine slimy men dripping bad cologne over me.

Sometimes I get England to reply to them, he says "Thanks for that, sexy, I'll be sure to ask the wife if she's interested but, if not, I like guys who call me Hun, maybe we can meet..."

I totally agree....and even if the rest of the profile/photo is decent...it would certainly put me off meeting with them

It's just a term of endearment, I use it all the time without even thinking if it bothers the person I'm addressing. Siren and I call each other 'babe' in text messages but rarely face to face.

Not bothers me as such, but they don't normally get very far, mainly as I am a hard bitch and think that they think they only have to call me what they deem as cute names to get nto my pants.

It doesn't work

Same here. It doesn't bother me but it also doesn't earn brownie points.

Babe,Hun,Chick,Sweet,Darling,Love etc, it doesn't bother us at all, they're just terms of endearment and all fairly common "Oop North",along with Duck around Nottingham area.

Would rather be called any of those than abusive names!

Nope, doesn't bother me in the slightest!!

Having lived in a few places, being called 'hun', 'flowerpot' or 'luv' (depending or where they are from) is just a term of endearment to me

Up North :-)

People use, Hun, babe, doll etc because they wither do not know your name or cannot remember it. With a couple with no name to respond to on their profile (Or a short user name)

And then some are just lazy buggers and they can cut and paste the same message to all

ALL messages starting "hi hun/babe/sexy/gorgeous" get deleted without being read...I don't even bother looking at the profile. I even have in capitals no calling me hun or babe to aide their messaging...but obviously a waste of time to some!!

I'm a Domme seeking subs...obviously clueless if they think "hiya sexy" is going to get a response!

In the vanilla world, from friends I don't mind hun, babe always reminds me of a pig, and it's just sloppy: the person calling you babe is usually someone that makes your skin crawl!
