Brighton - even Hove!

I don't think it would make it look thicker. Why not get him to cut it really short? I think that would look better.

How about growing it long on one side and flicking it over, or a pubic wig?

Viviscal do some hair fibres that make it look fuller, but it's temporary. My colleague uses Nioxin shampoo and Regaine foam, I think they'd probably work if he hadn't left it so late in life.

Central

The regaine type products help with certain types of thinning, but not for everyone. Hairdressers will advise on cuts to have, including avoidance of long single length, especially mullets.

Some medication could help too, as well as checks that it's just normal genetically induced loss.

The "especially mullets" bit made me giggle! Definitely to be avoided.

Tell him to draw lots of small rabbits on his bald parts. From a distance they will look like hares.

Wet the hair well, using a shower head, etc. Then after towel drying it, use a hairdryer and brush to blowdry it, puffing the hair out and making it thicker looking, without the need for wax or gel.

I have thin hair myself, unfortunately due to genetics, and this is just a technique i have observed from trips to the barbers.
