Titz Towers, North Notts

I've not long since seen the list. I'm not especially into sport, but cripes, some of these people I've never heard of. Even the sports some do aren't that familiar. I'm also wondering if it has been misnamed and should be called 'Sports Achiever of the year' as I've no idea if these people are kind to animals and small children or total shits.

Gareth Bale - football/services to exports

Charlotte Dujardin - dressing

Carl Froch - hitting people hard. Really hard.

Kelly Gallagher & Charlotte Evans - Alpine Skiing

Lewis Hamilton - London Cabbie sent south of the water

Rory McIlroy - hitting balls with a club (also nominated for BDSM personality of the year)

Jo Pavey - athletics

Adam Peaty - swimming

Max Whitlock - gymnastics

Lizzy Yarnold - skeletor

Sports personality of the year?

Isn't that a ridiculous phrase? I've never heard or seen a sports person who I can describe as having a personality, let alone one who could use theirs in a competition. Takes all sorts I suppose.

Didn't Nigel Mansell once win it? I'm sure he's lovely, but in interviews he wasn't what I'd call dynamic

Charlotte Dujardin deserves some recognition.... She's won Olympic gold, she won a gold at the world equestrian games and gold at the Europeans. No ones done that before... And the day she achieved that title the front pages were full of arg from towie getting lost in an airport!!

Making horses 'dance' is quite a skill!!!!

Did you see Steve Pissing being interviewed on Man to Man with Dean Learner? A brilliant pisstake of Mansell.

Newcastle and Gateshead

you are going to hear a lot of arguments that sam burgess should have been on that list (world Rugby League player of the year) and well as Steffon Armitage (European Rugby Union player of the year)

for me... Rory should win it going away.....

if you want a 1,2,3.... Rory, Lewis, Lizzy Yarnold

p.s gareth bale is on there for footy and for services to chimp like behaviour... he was great in planet of the apes...

Rory for me, as for sports people with personalities, Frankie Dettori, Phil Tufnall, Alan Shearer, all right not Alan Shearer.

Prince harry for devising the Invictus games..... he wasn't a competitor but a great personality.
