Just been browsing YouTube and come across Camille & Kennerly, the "harp twins" playing some pretty cool cover versions of rock songs and two guys playing rock covers on cellos, anyone else into alternative covers of music of any genre?

Some of the covers done by The Wurzels on their Never Mind The Bullocks series are just genius. The cover of the Fratellies - Chelsea dagger is particularly good.

The Beef Seeds do some wonderful bluegrass covers of famous tunes.

The double bass player is also pretty hot...

Particularly like Lily & Madeleine's cover of Sea of Love which is getting used a bit on TV at the moment. And going to see them on Friday.

Two absolute gems to check out. . Tori Amos does 'smells like teen spirit' on the piano. It's spellbinding, plus she's gorgeous and enigmatic. If you like modern classical. . Craig Ogden does Le Onde on guitar . A Ludovico Einaudi piano trademark. God knows how he does it but it's heartbreakingly beautiful

Oh of course there are the albums by Capt Kirk and Spock. Lucy in the sky with Diamonds by William Shatner is quite surreal. Leonard Nimoys stuff is pretty far out there too.

Einaudi is adictive I can lose a day listening to him , same can be said for Keith Jarret on the harpsichord .

Snap! I like that, too.

I think Ace of Spades is the most alternate song, as every single genre seems to have had a crack at it, although the Ukulele version is pretty nifty.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Apocalyptica are awesome.

Hayseed Dixie are great fun, and ace live.

Agree with the Tori Amos cover.

And I love 30 second to mars version of bad romance by gaga... "I want you open mouthed, And on your knees. I want your love, Love-love-love, I want your love

I want your drama, The touch of your hand, I want you leather choked cuffed to my hand, And I want your love"

The piano guys are also well worth checking out.

The combination of grand piano and cello is incredible. Not to mention the locations they get to.
