I've woken up with a thumping sore head. Had it when I went up to bed last night and it's not lifted. It's not a hangover; I'd nothing to drink yesterday. Anybody got any tried and tested remedies that don't involve me taking tablets?

I've suffered dehydration before and know it can be dangerous. I'll make sure I drink plenty. Thanks.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Menthol across your temples, check whether you are holding tension anywhere and drink water.

Hope you feel better soon. Never tried not taking medication as that always works for me.

I have coughed all night and given myself a bad head.

I usually find a very intense orgasm usually gets rid of my bad head, it's not for every one but it works for me

Invite a friend round and ask them to give you a head massage.

Eat a banana and drink water.

The biggest causes of headaches are dehydration, as already stated, and low potassium levels. Bananas are packed with potassium.

Have you had a lot of caffeine? If yes then stopped it could be that. Ironically a cup of strong coffee may get rid of it.
