Female? Female nipples piercings can take up to 9 months to heal. Mine didn't heal for 12 months and had to come out in the end due to blood poisoning.

No not normal, try antiseptic on it and regular cleaning, I'd that doesn't clear it up a course of antibiotics should sort it. Although chances are the doctors first idea will be to take it out.

Mine took quite a while to settle and not feel sore, is it red / weeping or just irritated? (Sorry to be graphic) it depends on how much its played with too as mine now after a heavy session can still feel a little tender.

If you don't have an infection, perhaps try changing jewellery to a more biologically inert metal like titanium?

How large are your nipples? The ring may be too small . Does the ring lift up and down smoothly ? May need a bigger ring , a picture paints a thousand words lol

I swapped my to a bar after about 9 months and it healed a whole lot quicker, so I'd say yes to changing it..

I had both of mine done in February by the May the one had healed the other was very sore. And depending on the weather as well. In the end j couldn't cope with the constant tooth ache feeling in my nipple and we were going on holiday I decided to take them out. Then I found out that Andy didn't actually like them lol x
