Anyone who uses the Hogs Back may be interested in this article:

There has also been articles in the local papers and on local radio, so if you do use it take care as the police are there a lot lately from what we have heard and seen as we have driven past.

The trouble with dogging 'haunts' is that they get over popular, then people are not satisfied with meeting after dark, you start to see truck drivers and sales reps turning up in the daytime in the hope of getting a glimpse of something.....anything.

Many of the most popular dogging haunts are also picnic sites, you remember...the places families took their children too in the holidays, or stopped over at on a long drive.

So guys walking around in broad daylight with their weenies hanging out is sure to attract the attention of the local council and the police.

They are wanting to shut the whole lay-by not just the cafe, that way no one can park there and in theory that will be the end of it, as there is nowhere that close which is big enough for all the lorries.

We feel sorry for the people that work in the cafe as it will mean the lose of their jobs.

just shows how inconsiderate people can be, dogging in the daytime nr a school can never be good.

we have been dogging in the past and enjoyed it, however we were careful when and where so as not to cause affence to anyone else.

People like this give us all a bad name

It's the same in Europe, I was touring on my motorbike last year and the hot weather meant I tired pretty quickly. All I wanted to do was sleep off the drowsiness on a picnic table in the shade, but soon discovered that being half stripped/half leathers is a bad idea. It's more than disturbing to open your eyes and see someone hovering nearby "juggling his loose change" (or on one occasion, merrily beating his meat in plain view. Ewww) without having any inclination that I was wanting that (I soon stopped taking my top off, if a lardy bastard like me can set them off, God help them). I feel sorry for anyone, families, innocent drivers etc who have to suffer intimidation like this.

We do enjoy going dogging, but then we also enjoy just going for a family walk with the dog and would be mortified to come across people dogging etc.

During the day it should always be a public place and doggers should respect that. Once its dark then maybe its different. The other problem seems to be the fact that people don't take their rubbish home or put in bins, nothing is worse then going for a walk and finding used condoms and tissues etc just littering the ground, is it so hard to clean your own rubbish up.

All this just makes the local authorities all the more determined to close places down.

Dogging should never take place anywhere the public have access! These people are putting their pleasure above the rights of the public at large who have no desire to see people having sex. At night, perhaps not as much as a problem. During the day is totally unforgivable!!!

We like to take outdoor pictures when we travel, but we always do it well away from any habitation and none of it involves sexual activity. More like glamour shots than porn. In fact, when Mrs R is being photographed, she has more on than most women wear on the beach.

From a personal point of view, we see dogging as the "bucket" end of the swing scene. To go to a lay-by and play with almost anyone you find is just a little desperate to us and this story kind of bears that out. ! BUT... each to their own!

Why pick on lorry drivers and reps Jane? are they beneath you? (no pun intended)

For the record truck drivers have to take a break after 4 1/2 hours driving, maybe in those very laybys that are now becoming few and far between.

Because I don't live a million miles away from a very common dogging spot in Devon, and it's not uncommon to see trucks (even articulated trucks) driving around the picnic sites in daylight looking for thrills....

The same goes for travelling sales reps, the suit jacket hanging up in the back of all those Ford Mondeos and Vauxhall Vectras gives it away.

Or are they stopping off in the forest carparks for a picnic or to ride their mountain bikes?
