Keeping an eye on it but it looks unlikely. We are talking about going to Hellfest in France, very strong line up and only £147, even with eurostar tickets it'll be cheaper! Final decision will be made when we see who's playing Sonisphere.

Never care whether I like a band or not. Just the fact it's live music can surpass and feelings towards any act, have often become a fan of some acts after seeing them live.

Bring back Donnington monsters of rock. 1 day, 1 stage all good bands and not much more for the ticket than a gig at an arena. No way am I gonna pay 150 to spend all listening to shit unheard of bands who are only there to make up numbers just to catch 3 or 4 good bands when those 3 or 4 will probably play an arena later in the year for a third of the price and you wont need to camp in a muddy field to see them

Yes Im getting old lol

Lol not seen them live then? I have and they are most definitely a rock group, just don't define themselves. They've won fan voted Best lived rock act for a fair few years cause their stage show is so big and spectacular

I've never seen priest live so may give them a go, their a bit too old boy rock for me tbh but I'll see if they can hold my attention

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Went to the original Monsters of Rock in 1980 and many more since. 4 of us even walked it one year after crawling out of The Rockhouse in Derby in the early hours

Haven't been for the last couple of years, so might have a blast this year

We've decided. Fuck Andy Copping and his corporate crew. We're going to Hellfest!

Slipknot, Faith No More, Judas Priest, ZZ Top, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Nightwish, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, In Flames, Lamb Of God, Killing Joke, Godsmack, Meshuggah, Arch Enemy, Satyricon, Cannibal Corpse, Cradle Of Filth, Finntroll, Rise Against, Dead Kennedys, Biohazard, NOFX, Orange Goblin.

Good times

Muse are amazing live. If they play all their heavier stuff, up to their usual high standard, they would blow the place away. Especially with the rumours that their new album is going to be heavier than they've done for a while. Would be sweet! Not sure I'll be going to Download next year, but will definitely catch Muse somewhere, at least once.

This might be the first year in a long time that we don't go

It's becoming a bit of a rewind/replay

Slipknot again...what a yawn

And Manson...jeez...I'm amazed they invited him back after giving a lacklustre performance about 5 years ago...spent most of the gig wittering on about his coat...hopefully someone will "have words"

Another headliner to be announced in the morning

Hopefully decent

A holiday in Spain instead or a dirty weekend is looking likely so far

Might try sonisphere instead

Pity Alt Fest was a fuck up coz that was looking good

Priest kick arse live. I have fond memories of Rob Halford riding his harley davidson onto the stage at hammersmith way back on the painkiller tour

As for muse the same reasons were tried for sticking foo fighters at the top support slot for the first ozzfest after bands like Slayer and Pantera. Did they fit in, did they get the crowd going, did they put on a brilliant show....DID THEY FUCK the crowd ended up doing a mexican wave all around the milton keynes bowl to show their total disinterest lol

Nantes. But at less than £150 a ticket even with the additional cost of eurostar tickets it's still cheaper than a UK festival!

50cents booking fee, no extra bullshit card or transaction fees was also a pleasant difference to uk festivals

I was tempted by Roadburn in Holland last year. And Primavera in Barcelona. Damn work got in the way though.

I think I'll only be attending Download if Mr Copping finally manages to do what he's been trying to do for years - book Van Halen!

The only band announced that I'm interested in so far is Black Stone Cherry and I've seen them a few times.

Said last night it would probably be Maiden or Kiss on the "old git day"

So it's Kiss, motley, slash etc

Decision made for us now....not going

Because we have been loads of times before, next year is just a rehash of the previous few years so it's time to try something new.

SERIOUSLY Considering going. Kiss was announced yesterday.

But Slipknots new stuff is good. People say its the heaviest ever. Bullshit considering the first two albums, but yeah. Its heavy. ; )

Always wonder if we would find someone to play with at a Festival, mind. Hasn't come up yet ; )

Nope and shall not be going either, such disappointing headliners, slipknot haven't been good since their 4th CD, muse are more of an indie band and kiss has been done to death

Looking forward to this next years Download! No rush to get tickets, think it's only sold out once and as said, it's bands that have played before. But good bands at that.

I'm happy with the announcements. Can't wait!

Chatham

I broked the tickets way back in July when the early bird come out and fuck me the line up is good, muse are the best playing live act at the moment so they say, slipknot new stuff is as heavy as Iowa but not there yet but Corey's voice is old, and FFDP was the best act in 2013 and I am more than happy to see all these bands again, at the look of the roumered leak of the acts that so far hase been correct and its fucking class

Also what's not to love about 5 days of drinking and shagging and rocking out, I will be there in blue or red and the Saturday I will be a slutty cop with a 12inch double ender as my baton and a drilldo so if you see me give me a shout, also send me a message now if your going and I could have a drink or better with you lot of kinky rockers

How can anyone say muse are the best live act there when enter shikari are there.

I do think shikari do better in smaller venues than festivals though, shikari fans are a breed of their own especially the ones who have followed them from take to the skies

So somebody say human pyramid
