Besides maybe a good idea not to be near others after eating all those sprouts for dinner.

I was on my own last Christmas, housemates went away. Didn't bother me in the slightest. Had great fun watching movies and eating what I wanted to.

This year I'm working a 16 hour shift. Looking forward to it.

I'm with you there

I had one of the best Christmas's ever a couple of years ago on my own, so chilled out and I could do as I pleased.

I went riding with a friend in the morning and we road round knocking on the doors of family and friends to wish them merry Christmas, horses all decked out with tinsel, it was brilliant

Then home to cook for me and relax

This year my son is in America and I have a fab friend coming to stay

Why? If they want company they can find it. Spare a thought for those swamped with family who need feeding and entertaining all day. Raise a toast to the cook.

I do feel for people who are may feel lonely anytime of year, like now for example as it's not Christmas.

We will have gone through a hundred threads like these before Christmas and it will lose it's true sentiment.

Please folks at least wait till December.

With a cracking view

Working nights over Christmas ...

Will be on my own at home, more than comfortable with that ...

Not a 'Bah Humbug' person, just don't do Christmas ...

Great fun telling folks I'll be having baked beans on toast as my Crimbo meal !!!

Most don't get it ...

They want me to fit into their pigeon holes of having to do Christmassy things on the day !

Is it? look at those replies on this thread from people who CHOOSE to be alone, I know many who make sure that they are alone on Christmas Day.

Spare a thought for those who are alone everyday instead.

I have my ex round for Xmas. If I didn't he would be on his own. Then there is at least one more added due them being on their own.

Last year we had it at my sister's. She refused at first to let someone she didn't know into her house. What's ganna happen with 10 of us there?! She can be a right twat.

I usually spend the later half of Xmas day and night on my own and most of boxing day as my son goes to his dads.

Last year I went to my best friends for a little drink, but this year I'm on cat sitting duty as they are off to benedorm. So my parents have decided to join us this year. It's gunna be mad but fun

There Is something to be said About the more mature you get In years I find the more In yer comfort zone you Get and what you enjoy more I think I have found that anything else added would be more of a discovery but has human beings we are naturally always curious about what there Is out There.
