Got any tips to stop biting nails? I don't think I haven't seen my nails so short and it's eyesore! lol

I guess comedy answers will be next?

I used to use stop and grow..tasted awful and was enough to break the habit for me....I have no idea if they even do it now to be honest so maybe completely useless!!

Look at your nails. They look awful.

Be consciously aware when you're biting them and say to yourself 'why am I doing this, my nails look awful, I must stop'.

Repeat this every time you find yourself biting them. Look at your nails.

That's how I did it. Awareness, willpower to change something I could change.

I bit mine for twenty years, then conditioned myself to stop.

Use stuff like stop and grow, there's loads of different ones. Tastes awful so should put you off!

stop biting 2 nails at a time. like, bite any nails apart from your thumb nails.

then once they start to look good, add 2 more 'do not bite' nails..

get a manicure then each time you want to nibble remember how much better they looked. Never found stop n grow worked for me, you get used to the taste fast.

or get someone to whack em with a hammer, you won't be able to bite em once all bandaged up

I stopped biting mine 8 weeks ago. I don't know how though. I just did.

It's a surprise to me, having bitten them for my entire life - and I'm now 41.

They're still not long enough to paint, they feel weird and are annoying me. I hope I get used to them soon.

Hi, thanks for the tips, some interesting ones that hope it will work, I am on a mission to stop biting them and they will looked better by xmas, just need willpower!

Try regularly playing with your bum hole without washing your hands that might put you off.

I can't stand long nails (bar my thumbs a bit) yet hate biting them, leaves them a little raggedy so I clip and file 'em....not exactly macho but there we go.

Try keeping them filed nice...might help you want to keep them that way maybe?Just a thought......
