Help writing a book

I've started writing a book called the unifying theory of life. I'd love to hear people opinions on some rules or morales that they live their life by or their analogy on how most of the world live their life or certain societies. This is a pretty deep topic but I'd love to hear from everyone.

Sure. I'm a physics student and we deal in a lot of number to describe how the universe works it gives me a lot of answer that I am searching for or at least the questions I want to find the answers to.

It does not really help with understanding the social dynamics of the world, it's hidden agendas and why people behave the we way we do.

I'm trying to search for my own theory maybe a number of morales or commandments that can summarise human beings and how they work with out having to have a 3 hour discussion on the wright show. Maybe like Ten Commandments remember these and live your life by them and you can be on the path to become a better person or reach a higher level of consciousness.

I can only do this by learning and listening to others and then bringing it together to create my own understanding. I think this is a great site to ask for opinions because people are so much more open minded.

I'm afraid I won't be able to give you a shout out in the book lol. My spelling and punctuation is awful I'm not afraid to admit this lol. But I usually deal in numbers

No I know the end goal but I have to sample people's ideas. I know where I want the book to start I know where I want the book to end. I know what topics I want to to cover mostly topics that have shape the world and human civilisation. It's just nice to get a general idea of how people think.

This is a life time project that will mostly be shaped by experience as it Is the experience we subject ourselfs to who make us who we are ?

Ok , people are not difficult creatures to understand. We (mostly) behave in very predictable ways. You only need to watch a few Derren brown shows to see that.

We all have varying degrees of morals but to me what it ultimately boils down to is, are you a fight or flight person. And to truly understand that you need to have experienced that situation.

If we asked on here now - you see a child standing in the road, with a truck heading towards them? What do you do? Most would answer they'd run and save the child. The reality is most would watch them die, and comfort themselves in the fact there was nothing they could do? Where was the mother?? Etc etc.

So, canvassing for oppionions, on morals, on here, is about as effective as starting a bareback thread. People will say what they'd like to believe they would do, or portray themselves as. Which, may be the truth, but the reality is you just never know.

So I wouldn't take it as the gospel.

We are all just animals trying to conform.

You're not taking about morals. Morals are your core beliefs about how you treat the world and the people around you. The flight or fight response is a subconscious action that ultimately may have nothing to do with morals or how you consciously think. No body knows how they will act in any emergency. That subconscious part of the brain takes over, evaluates the situation and act accordingly ultimately to save your life and or other.

I like that. I think fight or flight is a big part of human nature. But yeah I'm looking more for people's outlooks than what happens when shit hits the fan

I have quite high morals concerning most things and I'm very honest. I'm very open minded to new things although picky when it comes to sexual partners. I can also be a nasty fucker so I'm not perfect.

So you are saying that we lie to ourselves about our true nature? I really don't think that's true. We may outwardly display morals that are not ours to get ahead in social circle but we all know what we are, good or bad. Again fight or flight is subconscious and doesn't really have bearing on morals. Moral testing situation don't tend to be instant. For example if you saw someone drop some money would you keep it or give it back? Deciding to make a moral choice is conscious. You think. You decide. Flight or fight has no conscious thought or ddecision instead you act.

I do truly believe you have a good point about lying to ourselves. I wouldn't put it down to fight and flight. I think every day our ego tricks us into believing we are something we are not. At the end of the day we are only frequencies of energies. Made up of the same stuff that makes up most of the world. The only difference is we can seem to contemplate this.

I see how your linking it you have an idea of who you really are but until your truly tested and all the bullshits stripped away do you ever know who you are?

No its not. There a moments were it destroys you but you get back up and you become stronger. Knowing yourself is the only way to improve yourself.

Shouldn't the book have a unifying theory first? Rather than deciding on the book, I'd start with your new and unique theory or proposal, and then find people's experiences of living that way.

A collection of varied approaches to life seems the opposite of a unified theory.

But I don't know your full plan and details.

I talk with my publisher when I've got a plan, and work from there. Do you have a precis of each chapter yet?
