Aren't DVD players clever things

Bought a brand new DVD today put it into my DVD player and the film started half way through..

Apparently if you have owned that DVD before (different disc) or had borrowed it but watched it using that DVD player it remembers and starts where you last left it

Simple things amuse me

When borrowing frankie Vaughan dvd's from friends you can always see at which point they finished watching it. I discovered one of my friends had a penchant for facials.
