Why do some people block you if you read the message they sent you and don't reply back straight away??

Maybe we are busy ?? but had a quick look and was going to reply later. !! Trigger happy lol.

You talking about females messaging you? It's probably because females are usually approached but if they do decide to make first contact and it's not welcomed they'll block and go on to the next one. That could be one reason.

Personally.... I consider Blocking like that to be impolite and unfriendly. Just my view.....

Let's face it, if someone is so far up their own arses that they expect an immediate answer and block you for not replying right away are they really going to be the kind of people you want to meet?

I guess it's up to them if they want to block. No one owes anyone anything on here so you make it the experience you choose it to be.

If blocking helps achieve that so be it, happens to us all.

I tend not to bother reading message unless I know I've got time to reply if I want to, as people get told on here all the time no reply means not interested so I guess they might of assumed you weren't interested.

Happened to me. Blocked for not opening a message and reading it. I could read enough without opening it and for once had 27 messages to deal with that day but they said I'd been online and not bothered with them so they blocked me. It affected me really badly actually. For about 10 seconds.

I think some of the ladies do use the block button as a bit of a control thing. Makes them feel superior or similar. I actually see it as a positive because if that's the way they operate then I'd hate to meet them.

I only block abusers, pesterers and forum loonies. I did block a guy who didn't reply once but I gave him a few days to make his mind up.

We had a strange one, A couple contacted us and we messaged a few times, exchanged numbers arranged a social then suddenly without warning message: we dont want any contact with you, delete our number! Then blocked us. Very random. We just giggled. Still strange though lol
