"Brilliant film saw it last night, it is a good film." I never expected it to end the way it did. Pitt was really good. I was surprised that Shia LeBeof can act! Its watching things like this that makes me wonder how I would have coped in WWII. I have a feeling I would have been curled up in a ball somewhere sobbing. | |||

I read a book about this Prisoner of War who escaped and got caught again and how how fucking terrified he was. The guy was called Richard Pape. " The guy who trained me as a baker was a Polish Jew who had survived the concentration camps. I had nothing but respect for him. He would tell me about his experiences in the war and in the camps. Absolutely horrifying " I can imagine. I don't think anyone who didn't experience the totalitarian regime and it's machinations could comprehend how scary it must have been. I suppose the next world war will be nukes and the one after that, bows and arrows. | |||
