In the street? Preferably not as I'm usually rushing to get somewhere. At a bus stop or station I've had men start up a conversation. That works for me as long as it's polite

I concur with this, although if all you are looking to do is compliment etc then I don't have an issue with a wolf whistle from across the street. Makes me walk with a spring in my step and a private smile

its worked once on tube for me ended up back at hers for a fumble
