Have a look and see if something is jamming the pump, may be it's stopping all the stale water being removed?

If all else fails put it on the spin cycle and sit on top.

Won't solve the problem but at least you'll get a cheap thrill off a dying machine.

thats what it sounds like to me as well.some machines have a wee door, bottom front.this will let you.in to remove the filter.a blockage will usually be in this area.

Alternatively, if you only ever use the machine on economy or cool washes, it will sometimes start to pong a bit. It is worth running a very hot wash (whatever the maximum is on your machine, commonly 90 degrees) with detergent, even with no clothes in it, just to 'blast out the pipes'..

check the outlet pipe. There is usualy a small filter there. Just clean it.

Check the powder drawer, is it empty?

If not - take it out and clean it. There should be a little push down flap there - just push it down and pull out.

Hope this helps - if not drop me a line.

Good luck!!!!

As saucy said, bottom front of machine, usually left side, the panel allows you to remove filter or find an extra tube to manually drain off all the water in the machine. Once you do that you can feel about for a little circular flap in the pump area, this is where hair slides buttons coins get caught. Difficult to explain, I'm more a hands on person, sorry!xxx

see if your filter is blocked,it could be full of fluff and stopping the water circulating properly

If the washer outlet is not plumbed via a standpipe, but plumbed into the trap under the sink, it could be the non return valve in the outlet which is stuck open, thus allowing dirty dishwater from the sink flow back into the washer, which in turn will quickly stagnate and stink
