p@@n hub virus

Hi all we don`t know if anyone else has experience this . We were watching a movie 2 nights ago when out of now where a page popped up looking all official Chester constabulary you have been watching illegal porn we have blocked your computer and you need to pay £100 for us to unblock your computer . This virus leaves your computer unusable so we didn`t pay as we knew it was a scam but it still cost us a few ££`s to get our pc sorted . So beware as this also happened to a friend of ours a few days before us he was on p@@n hub aswell

If you search for "met police virus" on Internet there are free anti virus programmes to remove it and it's free and works. It got rid of mine

hate stuff like this - i got something that only appears when im browsing e..y and am....on - tells me i need to update java - now i might to but it takes me straight to a link and i darent click on it - i am very blond when it comes to pooterish things

I've had this done to me a couple of times so what I did to resolve this problem was to restore my pc to a previous point in time and then did a full scan.

My advice is do what I did. It does work.

We have had it sorted now it locked us out completely so we had to seek professional help from a friend

All I can say Is be careful With java It seems a lot of unwanted Programmes are Involved with the software I won,t use java now If Possible.

Some of these viruses lock you out and disable your internet access. I Google from another pc and download what I need to a usb.
