Hair removal

Does anyone know if the gp are able to arrange it or where would you go for it ?

Permanent hair removal think it's called electrolysis or maybe lazering .

And does it hurt ?

I've had both. Electrolysis was awful, really painful, even when I used Emla numbing cream. Lazer isn't as bad, bit like a tiny rubber band snapping against your skin.

Ipl is best as not painful supposedly. GPs don't deal with hair removal unless it is a medical issue

GOOGLE it,most cities will have beauticians that will offer this service.

Its uncomfortable but the results are fabulous

Been a long time since I had it done but it was a clinic in west London, can't remember the name though. Wahanda has good info and reviews xx

I have had both and yes they do hurt but the electrolysis more so. You will have to pay for this treatment and its not cheap but the lazering is affective. There are (SKIN) clinics dotted all over the UK. If you want more info just inbox me

It is intense pulse light.

It basicly crystallises the hair at the root. Thus killing it and is good for large as well as smaller areas. Lazer is only done on smaller areas as is electrolysis.

You do need a few sessions as it only works at a certain point of the hairs life cycle and you shave before you go.

Not cheap so keep an eye on wowcher as they sometimes have offers.

I went along to a consultation for IPL. The main thing I wanted to hear was that it was permanent. The clinic said it wasn't and that I would always have to go back for top up sessions after the main sessions was complete.

If anyone has had IPL, I would love to hear how they have found it and the outcome please...

When learning about it we were told that for some it can but most are not that lucky which is why they say it isn't.

I personally would go for it.

Last time it was on wowcher not so long ago it was heavily discounted at a Kensington salon to £69 for a few treatments. I would have done it but didn't have the spare cash.

I will get it done in the new year though and post about it
