I didnt know about paying it forward until recently when i watched a video. I was then getting onto the bus and paid for the person behind me and told them to pay it forward. The video i watched is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp_aq0ciFYs

which explains more about it and what it is. what's your best way of paying it forward?

The film with Kevin Spacey was good. The concept for those who don;t know is you do a good turn for someone and get them to do one for someone ELSE, ie instead of paying it back, pay it forward.

Simples. Great concept.

I like that idea. I think I will try it out. Not on the bus but in other ways

I like to do this and you can add random acts of kindness into the mix too.

I've had a fair bit given to me but I don't give and expect anything in the future.

I also use some small stores where others leave some spare change to help others who may be short later on and I've been helped as we'd as leave the odd bit. 20p may just help someone not have to go back for a cashpoint.

My dog was very poorly a while back and some people paid her vets bill for me without me knowing . It was a huge bill .

So many donations .

I aim to pay it forward

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It doesn't have to be monetary.

I have been practicing paying it forward for the last 30 years.

Two people were very kind to me and their actions (30 and 25 years ago) enabled me to remain in work and to develop a career I could not have imagined without those acts of kindness.

We try to pay things forward in our daily life anyway, it's been our philosophy for a long time. Neither of us expect anyone else to do it just because we do and we never ask people to, it's just a case of seeing a need and if you can filling it (cue the jokes ). People have done things for us so we pay it forward

Sadly, recent experience has taught me that too many people in the world just want to take, take, take and don't give a fuck about anyone or anything else.

So I'll pass. It's a lovely sentiment, but in practice there are too many selfish cunts out there that just want to take it all and still expect more
