In life ive been fortunate to Travel to some nice places,The Taj Mahal,,Niagra Falls,but Sunday gone The Tower of London just took my breath away,Simply Stunning, what sights have made you speechless,,,apart from Ben's Sweetcorn picture (That goes without saying)

I went to the Tower of London a few weeks ago and it was so breathtaking and an emotional experience. I went to the Maldives a few years ago and that was breathtaking cos of it's sheer beauty and how perfect it was.

Sunrise at 20000ft stood at the summit of Kilimanjaro. Physically breathless as well as a breathtaking view.

Would do it again tomorrow given the chance

I think one of the places that left an impression on me was when I visited the Vatican City. I'm not at all religious in fact atheist but there was something very special, very serene about the place and it's stunning!

Theres a place in North Wales called Worlds end, i went to see the meteor shower in August there, its so quiet clear and no sign of life its truly breathtaking you feel like you can touch the stars

The volcano Kilauea on the Big Island Hawaii was literally breathtaking (the intoxicating smell of burning vegetation and shoes)! The ability to stand just feet from a slow moving lava flow is just unbelievable.

Chichen Itza, the cenote in Riviera Maya (the one they did this years red bull cliff diving in!), the pyramids, Ayers Rock, Niagra Falls, the Grand Canyon, the view across Laos Myanmar and Thailand from the Anantara hotel, the valley of the kings at sunrise......

I haven't done a lot of travelling, but at the age of 12 I went to Northumberland with the school, and a view from above the pine forests made me stop dead in my tracks. The smell was amazing too

Lands End (not the tourist bit). The history and mythology that surrounds the place is enough to spike the interest and the visible, titanic power of nature that one can witness even on a calm day is breath taking.

I don't care what the law says, Cornwall is not part of England, it is it's own entity.

Sunset over Monument Valley

Camping on the Mesas in Monument Valley with the Navajo indians

Snorkeling in the Maldives and seeing a manta ray

Swimming in the Maldives with a turtle

Seeing a female orangutan in Borneo unfold her arms to show me her baby

Phi Phi island before it was developed

The moment I saw my first wife in her wedding dress

Sitting on the dockside in Biarritz at sunset

Watching the gargoyles on Sacre Coeur spout water during a heavy rain storm in Paris

Wat Pho temple in Bangkok

The Golden Gate Bridge at sunset

The ghost town of Bodie

Having a bear washing himself next to my boat in Canada

For me it was underwater with Manta rays big as mini buses flying over my head diving in the Maldives water so clear and warm like a big fish tank.

I imagine it was. A place to stand and take stock.

Heron Island on the Barrier Reef. I was extremely lucky to be on a beach, just two of us and a turtle nest hatched. Watching those baby turtles getting to the ocean was amazing. Then snorkeling over giant rays in the harbour felt like being in another world.

Buildings fascinate me too and can take my breath away with their beauty. The Natural History Museum is one of those for me.

Seeing the statue of David in Florence, it truly is a beautiful sculpture that I could sit and look at for hours.

The Lakes, all over there are beauty spots.

Peak District, has some brilliant sights.

Wales, I used to ride all over the places. So many times I had to stop the bike and remove my lid to soak up the sights.

Isle man will always be a special place to me, so many sights.

I have been to a few places abroad, but nothing compares to the places in this country.... yet.

I agree with all of those places. I will add coming round beachy head in a sailboat, coming into Littlehampton marina at night was stunning especially at sunset.

Dawn, at St Kilda - which is beyond the Outer Hedrides. To see the outline slowly revealed as the sun rise behind the main island of Hirta, viewed from a boat just arrived in Village Bay....

We were there a few weeks ago and see the work they have done there since.

I did once spend a week in Cornwall taking nighttime pictures of hale-bopp over various landmarks.

I've got two favourites,one from lands end over the marker post and one over St Michaels mount, it was a crystal clear night in early march with the tail stretching far off across the night sky and I must admit to bring taken back by the majesticness of the scene.

Whitby abbey, the glass floor in the CN tower toronto, Bram castle in Romania, the view from the empire state building after dark, and the view from the mountain top overlooking St Wolfgang Austria. Man Im more travelled than I thought.
