.....there's a scene on tv involving a swingers party and one of the leads says "these people are freaks"

such as i just heard on csi

no wonder most of us keep it private. totally non-judgemental

There was a simpsons episode we were shown by a fellow swinger that mentioned swingers and how they are drawn to hot tubs, its made us giggle though..

it was a swinging party; there was more discarded lingerie and bottles of champagne and empty condom wrappers than people there...of course!

Not just swingers though is it, really, it's anything not mainstream. Goths are manic depressives, rockers are satanists. Fetish clubs are strictly only where the utterly perverse get whipped, gamers are antisocial live-at-home idiots and so on.
