Kitchen 'Labour-saving' Devices

Washing machines hiding one sock are legendary, (although often they try to blame the tumble drier), however our microwave keeps hiding my mugs. I go in there to warm up a cup of tea I made and forgot, and 'BAM' there's already one in there, hiding - and it's cold too!

Which kitchen devices don't you really trust deep-down, if you're honest?

"I haven't had a microwave for about 8 yrs......"

I only use it to warm my tea, and start baked potatoes.

Mrs ddc uses it for sponge puddings, but I prefer the pressure cooker for that.

Steady, my "Angry Politics" thread died a quiet death a few days ago!

We have a couple of items which, in the shop said "Buy me, buy me, I'll be soooooo useful" but now they just sit on the shelf, gloating

Pressure cookers and deep fat fryers. I will have neither in my home.
