Nottingham, see post above yours. Also stoke, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Sounds a bit like a midlands thing but I'm only going on experience of staying in those places

I had the misfortune to spend a week in the ramada there for work. I was elated by the fact it was Wolverhampton the following week :-/

Birmingham. It's where I'm from but I rarely if ever go back.

I'll defend it with passion if a non-brummie slags it off though

Not slagging, just no affinity with the place. My home town is a shithole and has a bad rep.

Newcastle and Gateshead

there are a few old jokes...

whats the difference between hull and hell..... one letter and about 5 years!!

i always said about birmingham "it might not be hell... but you can bloody well see it from there!!!" plus for football fans the west midlands police constabulary were the most pernickity, obnoxious people you could come across..... i am sure they were equal ops and just hated everyone

Bradford is a shithole but people are still friendly so it has to be London there are so many miserable people on the streets far more than other places where people still smile.

I've no problem with the people...I have family live there in fact....my mum goes the bingo there, the one between Asda and dunnes....in the Asda car park almost ya know?

Just the physical structure of the place is bizzare....the piss smelling bus station that runs alongside the dual carriageway and the strange concrete shapes of the buildings leaking rust eery almost.......
