"Such an outdated set of laws. Surely it would be far safer if it was legal and properly regulated. Regular testing, a safe place for people to work from etc. Think of the tax revenue it would bring in...." I was referring to brothels btw.

A legally run, we'll managed brothel would definitely help stop some of them slipping though the net. Personally I'm all for it, even I never made use of their services.

"Such an outdated set of laws. Surely it would be far safer if it was legal and properly regulated. Regular testing, a safe place for people to work from etc. Think of the tax revenue it would bring in...." the problem with sex clubs/brothels is a 3rd party is making money off the prostitutes, rather the same as a pimp and that's illegal, if I picked a guy up in a pub, took him home and charged him for sex that's fine because that's my choice, if someone bought a guy to me, which in effect is what brothels are doing, and said you can shag her but I want my cut that's not legal because situations like that are open to abuse, how can you monitor which of the women want to be there and which don't

It would be a complex task and obviously wouldn't be perfect but I Think it would be safer for everyone in the long run.

"Surely testing is upto the individual I'm not sure why people think legalising it would mean better testing " This is true but it would be a case of "get tested or don't work in a legal brothel" much like the commercial porn industry.

Agreed you couldnt register as a LTD but you do seem to be confusing issues here. Lets make it simple, you earn money, you pay tax on it. Tax exemption is a nice idea but doesnt exist

"how many restaurant and bar staff get taxed on tips? genuine question" I have no idea, legally they are to be taxed, whether people break the law is hardly going to be discussed publicly is it. Still doesn't change anything re tax exempt status though.

Tax exemption is a nice idea but doesnt exist " I never said you had to be a registered company to pay tax, the argument that is on the .gov is from a case in 2012 that was won by proving that due to not being able to trade with the same rights as all taxable companies then there are certain criterias that allow untaxed income that exceed personal allowance, its published by the gov
