I think perhaps you need to adjust your expectations/hopes. Look at yourselves realistically and look at the situation realistically. I'm going to say this without intending any malice, and I can because we're in the same situation...you're middle aged and a bit overweight and therefore not at the top of a lot of people's want list. Looking at your profile you seem to want to meet people who are in a different league (to use a term I hate) to yourselves, so how can you slag off others (the rough ones) for trying for the same.
