Depends on logistics I suppose. Cam is better if you are far away or can't arrange aren't for a bit but you always get a better vibe in person.

We don't cam, Skype or any of that modern stuff. A quick phone call and a social is our preferred way.

Phone call to check they are sane, then arrange a social. I spoke to a guy recently on the phone , who asked what I thought , I said - you sound better than I expected ! Luckily he laughed - it was meant as a compliment. It just came out wrong.
