I've got pcos although never had any trouble since I had my son but when cysts used to burst I'd end up in hospital through pain. It isn't a burst cyst is it?

I think I'd be consulting nhs direct much more likely to be of use than a swinging forum

Pontypridd

If the pain is very bad and unusual why don't you call NHS direct and get some advice, better to be safe than sorry, hope you feel better soon x

^ I agree

There are lots of things that can cause periodic stabbing pains. Have you had your appendix out? Appendicitis pain can be stabbing and isn't always felt in the region of the appendix.

Also have pcos and get really bad stabbing pains in my ovary area, would get it checked out because if it is a burst cyst it could cause an infection in the fallopian tubes which happened to me, ended up in hospital for over a week on intravenous antibiotics

Posted in THE LOUNGE as I thought (wrongly) that you could post anything in there.....

Next time I post I will surely to keep to the never ending "fab someone on this thread" or "bareback" threads

Maybe you should have posted in the advice section

Seriously, what better place for a woman to ask if her symptoms have been experienced by any other women in this large community. We are all adults arent we?

I have episodes of this type of pain and I know I have ovarian cysts. I'm having a scan next week to see if they have grown any bigger.

Hope it gets better x

Ive had ovulation pain and its usually just one sharp pain like a sword being thrust in to you!

Anything down there is worth being checked even if you dont go to the hospital see if there is an out of hours surgery you can attend x

I've been chasing doctors, specialists, hospitals, the whole lot for 10 years now. Had troubles and loads of pain during pregnancy, the doctors said that was my belly stretching ( pffft). Anyway, still chasing them... Good luck with NHS.

Do you get the pain when you stop taking the pill for seven days? Or have you changed brands recently? It could be related to this. Look at NHS online and see what it says. If it happens again, go and see your GP!

Scotland - Aberdeen

I have the docs on Thursday, due to something similar.

I've been on the implant for the last 7 years, and due to having a few bad smears, I had a colposcopy and biopsy back in June and since then I have suffered what I call phantom periods, almost weekly, no bleeding just extreme pain, I phoned first for advise so as not to be wasting anyones time, but they definitely recommended I went in to see them, so you should do the same

It's a pill you take continuously

(fat and old can't take the other pill )

Tbh

I've asked them to rip it all out, I've had my kids, don't expect to have anymore....more trouble than it's worth

I wanted it all taken away too but they said I was too young (at 44 ???) but I had an Endeometrial Ablation earlier this year...best thing ever! Wish I'd known about it years ago

Hope you get sorted soon...and best thing for the pain is a hot water bottle and a big mug of hot chocolate
