When was the last time you was asked to show your ID ?

I get it all the time, I'm bored of it now and just say I have had a easy life, Maybe in 10 years I might enjoy it

I (f) often have people say "you're not" when I tell them my age whether they think I'm older or younger I have no idea

I have never been asked to show id but I was asked if I was 18 in 1972 when I was in a cinema watching an X rated film. I said yes but I wasn't

It is a compliment for men when they get past about 45 I should think

Quite often for me and it's actually a pain in the bum holey when you are buying things with a whole weeks shop and you still have to show it. I might look a couple of years younger but not under 25 it's silly. I have an 18 year old daughter for God sake

Wednesday evening in a pub. Talking to a man I've known through my sister for years and he asked how old I was. Got a "You're not 49??" from him. I think I look my age,quite a few people think I don't

Not long after that someone thought I was my mum's sister!

I was always the tallest at school. Looked older when i first started going out and never been ID'd. Now am 37 am a 5ft 2 short arse and get told no way am i 37 with 3 kids lol. What happened there?? Haha x

On the other hand,I bumped into a party friend from 7 years ago who was genuinely taken aback saying ` I look my age and you look younger now ` which even if not true, was a lovely thing to say...

I (Mrs) apparently look younger than my 41 years and was asked for ID for the first time in my mid 30s.

Though I think many people look younger these days due to better health and a generally easier life. A persons style and general outlook can also make them seem older or younger.

Always remember when I was 8 and my sister was 15 used to think how old ther and her friends were and wonder what it must be like to be that old !! Age is as relative as time.

My grey hair which I have had (progressively) for over ten years means I am never questioned about my age.

Instead it works the other way for me - I do a couple of sports to quite a high level and I get a massive advantage at times because those in their teens and twenties often underestimate me

Had to fill in my DOB on a form and the lady asked if I'd made a mistake when I wrote 1957.

I said "No, I'm 57"

The lady said, "Your wearing well, my Dad looks much older than you and he's a bit younger"

I (male ) have always looked younger - it helps having a full head of blond hair just greying at the temples. My OH was away at a wedding recently and was asked why she looked so young. When she answered "It's the rampant sex" there were laughs all round (ie our friends don't know we swing).

I have been asked for I.D more since I turned 30 !

Last year I saw a new Consultant at the hospital and she wouldn't believe I was who I said I was due to the fact she thought I was 16

So spent 20 mins asking me information to prove it !

Can be a real pain sometimes but if I have I.D on me its quite the compliment

Having the extra weight means the wrinkles don't show up and I have very smooth skin and naturally dark hair. It's enough for people to say that I look younger than my age.

I struggled to mature when younger and wanted to age but now I don't look I n mirrors first thing and want a government ban on them. People are usually shocked that I'm much older than they think though it gets a little annoying if they treat me as a kid too much. Up or down there are advantages and disadvantages.

As long as I don't suddenly age like Dorian Gray, I'm happy.

I (f) often have people say "you're not" when I tell them my age whether they think I'm older or younger I have no idea

I have never been asked to show id but I was asked if I was 18 in 1972 when I was in a cinema watching an X rated film. I said yes but I wasn't

It is a compliment for men when they get past about 45 I should think

I've always looked older, it was great when I was under age drinking in a pub. Not so great between 18 & current day. However I'm now looking forward to next year when I'm 45!!

- in the days of getting on the bus looking young enough for the 2p fare and then putting on the slap upstairs to get into wherever it was we were going -

We're told we don't look our age. I am 38 but only a few years ago was ID'd in a bar in Chester personally I think they needed to go to specsavers. However J does look young for her age always ID'd, gets compliments etc It pisses her of mostly the ID business but it is good being 'young looking' Only last weekend in Manchester she was asked if she was old enough to to be in the pub.

I suppose we will appreciate it when we ARE older.
