I'm only taking an overnight bag for the two of us and most of that is taken up by Mrs P's shoes. How many pairs do you need for an overnight stay ?

£6.70 ish if you got a car.

£10.00 if you got a van

£15.00 if you got a lorry like.

Bit harsh but it goes to a French Company.

Not looking too great in west Wales now and the weather often comes from the west.

Banter aside, I genuinely love it when people come here and have a lovely time. There's ropey bits and ropey people, but there's some pretty amazing locations and landscapes around.

Diolch yn fawr i chi Legs.

Fab doesn't half fry my brain though. I think for some reason I had it in my head that both were used - I always think of it as Ceredigion, but thought someone from England would find the other easier.

How I got it in my head the English alternative existed I dont know.

Btw - completely useless piece of trivia. I bought my first ever jazz mag in a newsagents in Aberaeron in 1988. I drive to North Wales regularly up the coast and can still pinpoint the layby and hedge I dumped it in (fee miles south of Aberystwyth - long straight but of road with a big petrol station. rhydlewis maybe).

lol I live just outside Aberaeron but I fancy a jaunt there this afternoon just to watch the world go by "

That should have said "semi" btw!

Sounds good - park by the front and watch people battle the wind!

If you ever want company I'll bring a flask and we'll sit there like a couple old biddies (even though we're obviously not - were supercool)!

Sorry Polk, I've hijacked your thread here!

"Aww thanks guys

No probs - honestly not "after anything" here

I just love people coming to Wales and having nice times. I'm a ridiculously sentimental Celt - I go all weepy if they do "

I never assumed you was lovely x

I know - but I just wanted to make it clear

Come to Pembs/Ceredigion - you, Legs and I can get a bag of chips and a flask and watch the waves whilst making acerbic comments about other people.

A threesome with a difference (and closest I'll ever get)

Glad someone is the same as me. I don't care about borders and boundaries any more - I just want people to come and see that, for all it's many faults, there's lots of good, talented, interesting people here and great places to explore.

I don't blame people from outside Wales for not knowing the full picture about the language and places to visit etc. I'm regularly told by visitors "I had no idea it was as beautiful as this" and it gets me every time.

God, really droning on now aren't I?!

Yeah, come join us for the "flask, blanket and watching the world go by" MFFF

Bit too far for me for a day trip. But Diolch mawr for the offer. I will however be visiting the capital very soon for a long weekend. Xxx

By all means say "hello" when you're down - I'll stretch to a coffee our cinzano and lemonade even

Might be away a few weeks in run up to Christmas, but it would be nice to say hello to a fellow Celtic sentimentalist

I don't think the MFF is too likely to take place tbh!

"Just been for a walk on the beach. Lovely sunshine but a bit blowey. Beautiful beach though, I bet it's glorious in the summer.

Gower? Don't worry, I'm not trying to track you down!

Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire have amazing world class beaches too. And Vale of Glamorgan. Oh stuff it - the whole of Wales just about.

"

Yes The Gower Peninsula. We really enjoyed our short trip to Wales and was made to feel really welcome. It was well with the £6:40. Thanks for having us.

Good - I'm glad people were hospitable, It's good when nice folks from outside Wales encounter nice natives! It ain't where yer from, it's where you're at!

Sadly, the £6.40 goes to France, so we don't really get to spend that on pies.

With an avatar pic like that, I reckon you'd be given the freedom of the city of Swansea (or Wales as whole actually)
