Blocked??

South Lincs

Been speaking to a lady on and off for a few weeks. Today looked and she has blocked me??

Could understand it if I was pestering her for sexual acts or annoying her with endless messages but I hadn't.

Would have been happier if she just messaged me and said sorry but no thanks please lets not talk anymore. Or I'm not interested. Blocking just seems bad manners. Do people agree?

It's her choice. Maybe she has had bad messages after trying the polite method before? who knows.

I'm sure you won't lose any sleep over it though, plenty of more fish in the see and all that. No point letting it get to you to be honest.

No. It's just another type of filter.

Just move on and don't let it bother you.

No. I cannot understand why blocking is seen as rude. It is a tool. It means that they want no more contact with you. Why consider it rude? Are you hurt by rejection? Grow up.

Sorry to hear that OP, it happens and it's all a bit perplexing if you think you've been getting on well. But it's a quirk of this site I think, things can change in an instant.

As others had said, move on. Plenty more people to talk to

Usually people understand that relationships on sites such as this are not conventional ..........move on and don't give it a moments thought.

Incidentally ......if you've been messaging someone on n off for a few weeks and you are miffed that she doesn't want you to .......maybe you are looking for something with a few more strings than none......

You've never even met the woman ..... just move on.

No, I don't agree.

Some seem to _iew blocking as some sort of weapon and being blocked as some kind of insult.

They didn't want to talk any more, (or they blocked by accident). You can't do anything about it. Move on.

She could have blocked you for anything, really:

too many messages, so not going anywhere.

met someone else.

had a panic attack.

his wife found the account.

realised you were her son and went off to do impressions of Luke and Darth on Cloud City.

I shouldn't worry about it.

Not hurt by rejection?? Just blocking felt I'd done something wrong.

Like I said if I felt I'd done something wrong and deserved it I could understand. That was all.

And like people have said there are still plenty of other good people on here to talk too.

Perhaps you did do something wrong in her eyes. We're only getting one side of the story.

Unless she blocked by accident, she probably had a reason.

"?We constantly block people that visit our profile time after time and say nothing"

Genuinely interested in why you choose to do this? I appreciate it is your choice but curious why, for no real reason. I do tend to find I end up looking at some of the same profiles a few times. I'll randomly click on people in the chatrooms or in here and I can never remember who I've clicked on until I see the pics. I guess there are those on here that are almost stalker-ish however? Can't say I get the problem with myself

Sometimes when something isn't going anywhere and you message the other person to say as much and draw a line under it... they just don't fucking give up.

The sort that just don't give up tend to be the ones who also just don't accept being blocked and start a thread about it.

We'll never know why others stop their interest and block. It doesn't matter if we don't count our chickens before they've hatched.

They have miriad of options and demands in their lives, new meet partners are a tiny fragment.

Have tenacity and spread your net wider. Keep your self belief high and overcome the hurdles that you will almost certainly find here.

We've blocked people before after seeing them on our 'who's looked at me' list. It's not something we look at regularly - but if they're not what we'll ever be looking for, they've been on site over a year with a virtually blank profile, no pics (or the sort that make us go rather than ) and no verifications - why not?

It frees up their time to go and _iew someone else who may be interested in them.

It's kind of a public service really!

Sometimes 'chatting for weeks' means having a message appear every single time you log on, instantly.... It gets quite tedious...

It doesn't happen often, but I have occasionally blocked someone I've been talking to without saying why if something in a message seemed a bit hinky to me...granted, "hinky" is pretty undefinable but I'd say, it's just one of those things and I'd recommend moving on as no-one can ever discern exactly what a person on t'interweb might take as "odd"

I get this quite often from a few guys. Or if you dont reply back to a message straight away they send another one then another. I tell them politely i answer my messages when i have time. If they dont accept thst then i block them
