I always thought they were looking for scapegoats. . what I found more disturbing is how many do die whilst known to the authorities. . clearly something is not working properly . . communication is such an understated art these days x

Always seems to be the way these days, and yet all agencies were at fault . . x

Parents, government, media, health, social services, police, ofsted, politicians, under resourced and trained, all services were at fault - but parental capacity is where this case was ultimately decided.

Services were not to blame as much as the public thought then, and now, any professional individual could see it was an overall fault, and no individual error in that case in particular.

Victoria Climbie died in very worse circumstances, but every child death due to parents is blamed on others so horribly - too many witch hunts at occasional public cases when it's sadly a regular thing.

The death of any child lies solely with those who kill them. It's tragic some children die however nothing will ever stop it. Look at all the serious case reviews, climbie, pelka, baby peter and even as far back as the 1970's the girl who's name escapes me but they all say the same but sadly child killers are manipulative and know his to play the system. I wish sometimes people would focus on the hundreds or children that are saved from a life of abuse or neglect!!!

. Ultimately responsibility for any child rests with the family . There is only so much social services can do. Keeps lots of people in a job though . A very sad case .
