The next big thing in horror

Titz Towers, North Notts

Vampires have been done to death in Twilight and True blood. Zombies have had similar in 28 Days Later*, The Wanking Dead and World War Z. Frankenstein has always been a standalone film, as is the Mummy (Boris Karloff version, obviously).

Possession was popular in the 70s, (repossession in the late 80s) is it time for it to be revisited? Torture has been kind of cornered by the Saw films.

I'm just curious as to what the next thing is going to be. Any thoughts?

*Ok, they may not be Zombies, but try selling your house if your area is infested with the gits.

The only things I find scary would be stuff that's realistic, eg someone entering your house, psychological stuff etc.

Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, werewolves etc don't cut it for me. A mad murderous 'real' person can get into your head.

Cats.

Evil, possessed, flea infested things, spitting huge fur balls and scratching the eyes out of victims.

Or hamsters.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I am not a big fan of hamsters

Anything can be scary in a film even Mr Staypufft in Ghostbusters was sinister

Can you tell I am not a scary movie watcher?

It has to be the most feared creature on the planet. Reviled by all, burnt at the stake, exiled by society and accused of the most heinous crimes in history.

I thought that looked interesting but I'm already watching 8 series at the moment which is at least 4 more than I can easily manage.

Put it on your to do list, but watch it during the day, I don't scare easily, but this freaked me out a couple of times, and good to watch if you are a member of an online community.

It might take me a while. I've only just started on S1 of Game of Thrones. I'm still on S4 of Dexter. I've completely lost track of where I was on Person of Interest.

I struggle to sit still and concentrate on an entire 45 minute television show. Thank goodness for Sky+ so I can pause and rewind!
