There seem to be a lot of emotive threads at the moment. If someone want to chat about public nudity, rape scenarios and other potentially taboo or illegal subjects should we not allow this as long as it is done within the guidelines of the site. If someone does not agree then simply dont join in and allow others their few minutes of fantasy/fun without the party poopers.

So basically people aren't allowed to disagree under your new rules. How boring!

Personally I have no problem with people having fun (like I said on the driving topless thread that is probably the inspiration for this one), it should be appropriate, legal and consentual for EVERYONE though and not put anyone's well being at risk. Otherwise 'fun' could end in tragedy.

The site has to work within the law so certain subjects are frowned upon and threads deleted.

If you want people with a different opinion to your own to not give their opinion then it would not be a forum.

couldn't agree more, we regularly get told our dogging fun is illegal will get us put on the sex offenders register and harm families with children who might see us or bareback sex with strangers will give us aids .. lighten up we are careful who sees don't involve others in penetration and therefore Don't discard condoms .. ..Rant over!

Thanks OP ...let's have fun and chat on here without the knockers.(fnar fnar)

I think it all works better when people add countering opinions. I've learnt a lot more in life from peeps who have disagreed with me than from people who just nod and agree with what I say. Naturally I then destroy them using voodoo for disagreeing with me, but one step at a time.

So basically if you have a different opinion to the original poster you shouldn't post?

Or just if you have a different opinion on public nudity and the other subjects you mentioned?

No i think if someone wants to discuss a subject with others they should be able to without getting loads of abuse. If someone ask for opinions then contrary _iews are welcome. Just think people should be judgemental under the appropriate circumstances. Oh by the way im not trying to impose new rules, just open the subject up for discussion, so contrary _iews welcome.

I rarely see anything I'd consider 'abuse' posted, just differing opinions and valid points....

Subjects sometimes get so involved with moral arguments and opinions that they are soon lost. Dont think you have to look too far that things can get very heated and personal.

If everyone agreed life would be boring. The worst threads for me are the ones where everyone agrees. I like it when people put their hand up to disagree. I don't like fighting or childishness though.

A hypothetical example. If i post a thread asking for peoples enjoyment or preference in eating baked beans, thats what i want to hear about. If i ask do you like, or tell me your experiences about baked beans then that opens up the discussion. I like a healthy debate, but it has to be relevant or asked for.

I only like Heinz. But they go straight through me so I don't have the often. I sometimes have haricot beans just on their own without the sauce. They still make you trump though.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Adult debate includes disagreement on the points raised, not the person raising the points.

Topics develop though and if the OP really wants to keep the thread on track then they need to take responsibility for guiding the subject back. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Abuse on the thread, or in private messages (as happens), is not to be condoned.

As long as they stay within forum rules people can post whatever they want. The OP doesnt own the thread.

Wotcha Tina

Thing is there is disagreeing with someone which im cool with and am used to bigoted people (including surprisingly, some fellow fabsters) but some of the threads are quite frankly pissed on. Quite astounding replies that take the kink right out of the thread.

Im not into rape play or scat or a number of other things, but if someone wanted to discuss as an adult aspects of the subject then so be it.

To piss on a thread where someone mentions perhaps driving topless, or undressing in front of an uncurtained window is (please excuse the language but this really gets my goat) bloody trolling.

What you going to achieve? piss on someone fireworks? does it give you a sense of satisfaction? "oooh, job well done, put them in their place". In the context of the question , there is absolutely no point whatsoever in saying you prefer not to eat baked beans is there ?

It's a bit like looking through posts to see which you don't like the subject matter and deliberately posting on each and every one that you don't like it .

Childish and unnecessary at best , and pointless and futile on another day .

Unless of course you want to play the devils advocate for your own personal satisfaction , in which case , enjoy

I made a comment on the 2nd Ebola thread but didn't read the other one because I didn't see it until I had seen the 2nd. So I didn't laugh on one and not the other. I was giving my opinion.

To the OP - thread discussions are like real discussions, they digress and go off on tangents. It would be near impossible to keep a thread both active and 100% on topic all the time.

Central

The site sets its own rules, as any business or service provider does and we all rightly oblige them. We should also respect others.

Common sense tells me when I have nothing to add, so I don't.

It's good to have a range of topics but worth not hijacking them for the sake of making a point - a bit like some strange outburst by a ranting stranger or d*unkard in the street.
