Christmas shopping done

Jump to newest

With the exception of a few Xbox games I have managed to finish my Christmas shopping today and even started on the wrapping, My bedroom looks like a grotto.

I usually do my shopping the week before Christmas and I'm worried that I just won't be full of festive cheer now it's all out the way

How do all you organised people manage to maintain the Christmas spirit if you're not out and about in the hustle and bustle before the big day?

"Always do mine Christmas Eve afternoon just as the shops are shutting "

so do I in all honesty. Due an op next month so won't be able to get around shops or cope with the hustle and bustle...it's just not going to be the same.

Use the free time to enjoy the shops and get yourself a few Christmas treats.

I love sitting in a coffee shop with a mince pie watching everyone buzz around me

I just let them get on with it and clear up after. They range from 6 to 14 so I don't have to run around after them thank goodness

3 and 18 months. The 18 month old is a charmer and grabs one of my crutches at every opportunity to either trip me up or beat me. It has been decided I'm best not left alone with him. Dont know whether it's for my safety or his lol

I've just ordered a Dave Allen dvd for a cousin. I've got to go to a charity shop for a big book on something he's not interested in to cut the centre from in order to create a hiding place for this dvd

I've ordered a good few pressies...giving money to the younger ones and I do charity gift cards from Oxfam for my parents (e.g. paying for midwifery or buying goats for African families). I've maybe 4 more presents to get and that's me sorted

His sister is getting a tin money box, with the lid soldered shut and an object rattling about inside. She'll need to open the tin to claim her present. The rattling around present will be a tin opener.

I've started and I aim to be finished by December. I love the feeling when it's all done and I can just enjoy it. A few years ago I used to leave it until the last minute. Never again.

I've bought three presents already, I usually start in November, I love the Xmas rushing about but do hate the Xmas market our local council have every year. mainly foreign food and drink bars.
